Why We Need to Talk About Motherhood

For a long time,I thought I just had to figure things out on my own. That the questions, the doubts, the guilt, the exhaustion — were simply part of being a mom.But when I started talking about it, something shifted.

Every conversation with another mother opened a window.I realized that what I was feeling wasn’t unique or strange. The loneliness, the mixed emotions, the desire to be grateful but also to rest, the confusion between who I was and who I’m becoming — others felt it too.

Talking didn’t make the hard parts disappear, but it made them lighter. Putting words to what I felt gave me perspective and helped me understand myself better. It allowed me to connect — not from perfection, but from honesty.

That’s why I believe in conversation. Because when we talk about what’s real, we break the silence that isolates us. We stop pretending we’re fine all the time. And we begin to see that this experience of motherhood, with all its contradictions, deserves to be spoken out loud — together.
